This is unbelievable. That officer had NO business having my car towed away. I didn't park anywhere NEAR that spot!! They're just picking me out for having one of those self-driving cars, I know it. Oh well, better get my car back and head home.

Lower resolution windows recommended.

Shortcut is a very short game made in around a month for the HPS1's Summer of Shivers jam. It is my first game, so expect some potential bugs. Thank you for playing!

The car driving controls felt a little weird until I got used to it but the overall theme was so cool! I encountered a bug but was able to fix it by adjusting the resolution.

Thank you so much for playing!

Yeah I'm still trying to address that bug, but it's been difficult for me to try and replicate it. Glad changing the resolution was able to help!

i love the ending

Hello, I played this game and I really liked It, the conceot was great, this game could use some polishing though because I was getting stuck a lot and the movement felt a bit weird but over all it was fun, good work :)

Hello! Thank you so much for playing, lovely playthrough!

Hey! I did a big roundup on a bunch of games in the jam (including yours) with some thoughts on each. Figured I'd share it here for anyone interested!

Thanks so much!

Still trying to find the source of that bug, fingers crossed ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

You can't slip on a rainy day. Can't you walk with an umbrella?

Although short, the game is interesting. Congrats on your first game.

Thank you so much for playing!

I dunno why, but I got stuck, with no [obvious] way out, so I had to exit the game without being able to finish it, but will upload the video regardless. Kudos to all involved in creating this game!

Hey there! There's been a few other people with this problem as well. I've been trying to look into it, but it seems to come from larger window sizes messing with the destination set on the navmesh.

Thank you so much for trying it out!

And a 10/10 video! 'Had me cracking some huge smiles, and very glad someone has given the other drivers names ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Thank you so much for playing!

It was great, and the driving it feels like the road is very slippery. I know you can make it better if you have more time making this game. Can't wait for your next game haha :D

Thank you so much for playing, much appreciated!

I WISH I JUST BOUGHT A TESLA, oh btw i broke the game within 5m.. oopsie xd

I'm actually extremely grateful you caught that bug on film! You're one of only two people who have said they've gotten stuck there, and I wasn't sure what might be causing the issue since I couldn't see or replicate it myself. I think I know what might be causing it now, though. Thank you for taking the time to play!

Haha happy to help! Love the twist at the end, i'm a professional at breaking games so I knew i'd come across something haha

VERY NICE GAME DEV

Thank you so much for playing!

Neat looking game. Driving was not much of a distraction, rather the steering wheel a.k.a. torus object really threw me off the immersion, but other wise, decent looking project with unique setting. For more of my review, check out the video:

I definitely agree with you on the steering wheel- with the limited time of the jam I had to cut a few corners. On my list of things I want to fix if there is time in the future is the wheel model as well as giving it an animation when the player turns.

Thank you for playing and for your feedback!

Enjoyable little experience. Had a great mood to it. The vehicle physics are absolutely wonk and are in desperate need of some fine tuning. Still good regardless.

...and that's what we in the biz call a "shit sandwich". You say something nice, add your criticism and then cap it all off with another positive comment. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

lol, seriously though I enjoyed it.

Oh I fully agree, the driving was much worse when I started the build and got adjusted but still needs some extra tuning. 'Something I planned on if I have time to come back to it.

Thank you for taking the time to play!
